Franziska von Karma started her prosecuting career at the age of 13. She was known as 'the Prodigy' throughout Germany and had never lost a single case.

Franziska starts out as being a childish character, having had no real childhood. She went through life with only one thing in mind: following her fathers idea of perfection. Just like Miles, she realizes that this idealism is flawed, and although it seems Miles has given up the idea of perfection all together, it's such a strong part of Franziska's personality, that she can't simply walk away from it. As she matures through the series, she seems to find a happy medium between the two, balancing the right to a fair trial between the idea of perfection, and thus creating the perfect trial. A trial where the truth is always found, and both prosecutor and defense have worked together to realize the full weight of the situation-- she now sees that as perfection.
